Buckshot's session recap for June the 6, 2024

"Where do I even begin? I'm so overwhelmed by what's been happening, nothing seems to even have a sense of beginning or end anymore. I find no matter what I do, literally anything I do, always send me up the ladder towards leading a rebellion I didn't even know I started. Or worse; sending me right to the doorstep of the Yama Kings. I'm just a normal guy... well I guess I should know by now that normal isn't even a thing. I'm just a guy, I guess. I found as a petty thug this stuff happened to me too, where no matter what I did I somehow ended up moving higher and higher into things I didn't understand. I guess when I think about it, maybe the Yama Kings are nothing more than another crime syndicate, or maybe I'm just trying to cope with being a part of a world I can begin to understand." "Uhhhh sir? This is a Wendy's drive thru..." "Oh sorry about that... Yeah can I get a Dave's Triple Cheeseburger combo with a Pibb Xtra ...

An interview with Wizman by Reporter Wisboy:

An interview with Wizman by Reporter Wisboy: Reporter Wisboy: What's your opinion on Buckshot? Wizman: He is disappointing. Buckshot has potential, yet he squanders it. If he applied discipline in his life, got himself together, and became Buddhist, he could become quite powerful. However, I do not mind being with him. Reporter: Your opinion on Azrael? Wizman: Azrael is a sociopath. The end result of that barbaric, tribal religion he has sad, slavish devotion to. He has too many bio-enhancements, does he think that will save him from going - - - what do they call it? Cyberpsycho? No, they won't. That man is going to go cyberpsycho one day. Although, like Buckshot, I don't mind being with him. Reporter: Thoughts on Myco? Wizman: What? The mind-rapist? (shakes his head.) (sighs) Myco is dabbling in lesser, degenerate magic. Dangerous. He is going to a bad end. Myco is either going to end incurably mad, or worse, plagued and possessed by noxious spirits. I wish I could help ...

Recap for Fate of the Shadow:Winnipeg for June 22, 2024.

Recap for Fate of the Shadow:Winnipeg for June 22, 2024. The team meets up to do their mission which is to discover who Jay Gatsby is? A mysterious and wealthy figure who showed up in Winnipeg, being exactly like the fictional character of Jay Gatsby from the Great Gatsby. From previous sessions, the team has collected clues and developed theories on who Jay Gatsby is? The clue they found was a hidden picture, showing Gatsby as a normal, wealthy man with family. Could Gatsby be merely a trillionaire who wanted to be Gatsby from the novel and came to reality-shifted Winnipeg? Or is it something weirder, like he is Yama King, as Buckshot has speculated, going by no evidence whatsoever.  The team has contacted this Gatsby and he has offered them a mission, which they accept, coming to his party. This takes up most of the session. First off, the team gets into an argument with the front door guards about Jinx coming in with a battle guitar. She is able to trick the guard...

Ghost Council and Thanatomancers.

Image
THE GHOST COUNCIL OF WINNIPEG Formed out of necessity to resist the influence of the Yama Kings, the Ghost Council is a resistance movement against the malevolent forces of the underworld. Their purpose is twofold: to safeguard the delicate balance between the living and the dead, and to thwart the insidious schemes of the ancient Yama Kings and their thralls. This assembly serves as both a sanctuary and a fortress for those who have transcended the mortal coil. Leading the Council is a group of individuals who have experienced various stages of death. Adrian Montgomery: Once a powerful thanatomancer who mastered the four major paths, Adrian can freely transfer his soul between different living beings. However, only individuals with a high affinity for him can host his soul for extended periods. He understands the threat of the Yama Kings more than anyone else and founded the Ghost Council. Gallagher Bates: An entrepreneur who sees death as an opportunity for profit. He possess...

Mnemoancy, the domain of memory magic

Hello, Wizboy here, your local Winnipeg digital journalist, providing you with the latest news in the city of Winnipeg and beyond. I got a report on some magicians in the Occult Underground. However, I've found additional information about them that this report doesn't include. First off, this branch of sorcery is connected to the sorcery of Dream-mancy. Mnemonancy was created by a certain intersection of psychologists and mystics. The practitioners are often derogatorily called mind-rapists or mind-violators. The practice of this black magic is secret and relatively unknown. I am happy to report on this branch of sorcery and let it be known to the broader world.   Also, this is a magic of the mind and when you open your mind and enter into the minds of others, what do you let in? Is what I have heard from a mnemomancer.  MNEMOMANCERS (aka mnemosynists, memo-mages, mindbenders, amnesiacs) *The word mne⬝mo⬝mancy is derived from the Greek goddess of Memory, Mnemos...

Solo-Gaming in the Winnipeg of the Guy Maddin's future: Leyaks Vs. The Bubblegum Thugs

Warning: This solo actual-report contains subject matter which may be unsuitable for some readers. Reader discretion is advised.    Hello Everyone,  Guess I will have to explain this to all of you so you can have some context to what is happening and what is this all about.  For some while, I've been flirting with Solo-Gaming for RPGs. As it happens, I decided to try out a Solo-Gaming session with some NPCs in Fate of the Shadows:Winnipeg. However, I am not using Fate for this, instead I am using Silent Legions, which is essentially old-school D&D for cthulhu mythos-esque games. The game has been re-skinned for Fate of the Shadows:Winnipeg. To give my sources, the books I'll be using for this are Silent Legions, the various random tables from Augmented Reality: The Holistic City Kit For Cyberpunk Games, and the Bouts of Madness table from the Call of Cthulhu Quick-Start. To introduce the stars of the show, we have the unnamed family of Leyaks.  Leyaks are su...
